I set up this server by installing roles and features using the 'Roll-based or feature-based installation' option. I have found I can shadow sessions via the command line using mstsc.exe but I would really like to have a GUI. But for some reason the Collections tab isn't there. I understand from tutorials like this one that Remote Desktop ought to be one of the options in my Preferences menu, but it isn't. Apparently you can 'shadow' another user's RDP session from the server manager by going to Remote Desktop Services > Collections and going to the Connections section. I need to enable remote connections to a machine that's running Linux Mint 13 Maya. I remember I used to be able to do this from the Task Manager's 'Users' tab but I couldn't find that option in 2012, so I looked online. If you want to allow copying and pasting of files, make sure the Drive selection is unchecked. Select the Client Settings tab, and make sure the Clipboard box is unchecked. Double-click 'Remove and Prevent Access to the Shut Down command'. Under Connections, right-click the connection and select Properties. Navigate to the following path: User ConfigurationAdministrative TemplatesStart Menu and Taskbar. Everything was going fine until I wanted to try and view someone else's connection. Launch Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration from the server. All the employees connect to this server using Remote Desktop Connection. We just made the switch to new a server and changed from Windows 2008 R2 to 2012 R2 Datacenter.
